CANBERRA, This Day,
The offer of Sir Hubert Wilkins to lead three annual expeditions to Antarctica in the Wyatt Earp was rejected by the Commonwealth Government, which believes that the expenditure of £10,000 on the expeditions is not warranted. The Government is also unable to spare the naval ratings required, and, moreover, the Wyatt Earp will be engaged indefinitely in transporting munitions for. the Government.
