AUCKLAND SYMPATHY

AUCKLAND, August 3,
The sympathy' of Auckland citizens with the Prime Minister in his illness, and their hope that he would speedily be restored to health and strength, were conveyed to the Lewisham Hospital by telephone tonight. A resolution in these terms was passed by the City Council and arrangements were made by the Mayor, Sir Ernest Davis, for its immediate transmission to Mr. Savage in Wellington.
