The New Zealand Minister of Finance, Mr. Nash, stated before sailing for New York £hat the loan arrangements will not enable New Zealand to surmount all her difficulties, but will permit her to continue her vital work.
"They will enable us to solve our major problems, though it will take a couple of years to clear them up," he commented.
