A WINTER SCENE
GAIETY AT GIRLS' HOSTEL
The annual dance of the Girls' Friendly Society was held at the hostel recently, and was a great success.
The large lounge, which was used for dancing, was attractively decorated to represent a winter scene with snow effects, and with gold and silver pendants on the walls. The roseshaded lights gave a warm gleam to .the pretty frocks worn by the girls. The guests were received by Mij»s Gleeson, the lady superintendent, who wore a handsome frock of black velvet. Miss Audrey Childs was secretary of the dance committee and the others were Misses Davidson, Fearnley, Wingfield, and Priestley. A delicious supper was prepared by a capable' committee comprising Misses Brown, Nicol, Barnes, and Richards. Among those present were Mesdames Cook, Clapham, Johnson, Wareham, and Ponder, Misses Richards, Smith, S. Frost, J. Johnston F. Cording M. Mushet I. Docherty, J. Francis, M. Fitzherbert, A.
