*LOW TEMPERATURES

(From "The Post's" Representative.) NELSON, August 3. In common with the rest of New j Zealand, low temperatures continue to prevail, and a fresh fall of snow at the I beginning of the week once more made "every prospect pleasing." Both adults land children climbed the heights for (wider views and the members of the Girls' College Ramblers' Club proved their stamina on "the mountains. Aero Club. The fillip that flying has received in Nelson since the purchase of the "Brig Arrow" was largely responsible for a very pleasant evening being given recently. This took the form of a "movie" show and lecture on the safety of flying. The evening was a great success. The Chrysanthemum Club. The Chrysanthemum Club obtained the services of Mr. A. White, Commissioner of Reserves, the other evening, and he gave a most interesting and instructive lecture about the growing of chrysanthemums. Morning- Tea. A very enjoyable tea was given a few mornings ago by Mrs, F. A. Bett. Among the guests were Mrs. S. A. Gibbs, Miss E. Hilkison, Mrs. Vernon Rout, Mrs. Sladden, Mrs. V. Barr, Mrs. G. Hoby, Mrs. Johnston, Mrs. George Hoby, Miss M. Blacket. Personals. Mrs. W. Denshire and the Misses Denshire leave for Christchurch tomorrow by air. Colonel and Mrs. E. Lorimer have returned from a trip to the south. The Misses Clark have returned from a long stay in the North. Island. Mr. and Mrs. M. Clark, Dunedin, are staying with the Misses Clark. ,
