EFFECT ON BUS SERVICES
The added cost involved to the city tramways department by the extra petrol tax would amount, on the preJsent activities of motor buses, to £1500 a year, said the general manager, Mr. M. Cable, when questioned today. Expressing --oncern, Mr. Cable said that £1100 of this would add to bus running costs, and £400 to that of other departmental vehicles. Whether the extra taxation would be passed on in fares had not yet been considered
