YOUTH CONFERENCE DIVIDED (Received August 3, 9.50 a.m.) AMSTERDAM, August 2." The world conference of Christian youth Avas unable to agree Avhether a Christian is ever justified in fighting. There Avas a large number of conscientious objectors among the delegates. "We condemn Avar, although Aye disagree on the issue of personal participation," said the report. Other conclusions reached included the necessity for Christians to give aid to victims of Avar and persecution, and to defend truth against tendentious propaganda. The delegates pledged themselves to maintain Christian .unity, which they hoped would eventually lead to a united Avorld Church.
