WELLINGTON PLANS
PLUNKET SHIELD MATCHES
The programme of matches for the Australian cricket team's visit to New Zealand next season having been arranged and approved, the Plunket Shield match schedule is now receiving attention. For Wellington it will be a big season, the main matches being part of the programme of events in connection with the Centennial celebrations. Canterbury and Auckland will be sending teams to Wellington, and there will be a visit by Wellington to Otago. In addition it is proposed to play a veterans' match with Auckland at Auckland. Wellington's suggested Plunket Shield match programme is: December 23, 25, 26, 27.—v. Auckland, at Wellington. December 29, 30, January 1, 2.—v. Canterbury, at Wellington. January 19, 20, 22, 23.—v. Otago, at Dunedin. The Australian team's matches in Wellington will be:—February 9, 10, 12.—v. Wellington. March 23, 25, 26.—v. New Zealand (third Test).
