HOMING PIGEONS
The Wellington Homing Pigeon Society s last weekly show was for old hens. The awards were:—J. Mitche]loLh*d- 253_35' 1- N- B°yd and Son's 399; 35 ' T 2; N' B°yd and Son's w., JZb-db, 3; J. Iremonger and Son's w 520-34 v.h.c; F. Flipp and Son's w.', o!?o «'- c'; J' Irem°nger and Son's w.. 242-d6, c. This week's show is for pairs of pigeons most suitably matched for breeding purposes. At the Blenheim show held recently Messrs. F. Couper and Son, Wellington secured first for red hen. for cock flown 150 miles, for cock flown 300 miles, and for hen flown 300 miles second for blue hen. for cock flown 400 miles, for hen flown 400 miles, and for hen flown 150 miles.
