Saturday, August 26, is the date set aside for the celebrations, and a heavy programme of matches is* to be played with visiting teams, play commencing at Karori Park at 1 p.m. The games are as follows:— .

In addition there are to be matches between past and present players, arranged by eight clubs, and two special matches, to be arranged from other clubs.

An interesting feature of the celebrations is that a committee from the Wellington, Hutt, and Petone Clubs is to compile a record of the history of hockey in the Wellington centre, tobe incorporated in the next annual report of the association.

The Men's and Women's Hockey Associations are co-operating in organising a hockey ball, which, although it will probably not take place until the week following Old Timers' Day, will form part of the general celebrations.
