After navigating a seven-ton cutterrigged yacht with onl;<- a sextant and a compass from Nev/ York in 33 days. Francis Clark, aged 55, a seaman, of Portsmouth, arrived at Nevvlyn, Cornwall.
Clark left Portsmouth in the same
yacht in 1937, and reached Savannah, proceeding thence to New York. Living on rain water and dried beansv he sold Ms chronometer and bought foodHe left for England on June 12, hi* best run being 360 miles in forty-eight
