The Lackham gelding Colin, who won the Maiden Scurry at the last Napier Park Racing Club's Meeting and who has been showing some promising form over longer distances, was tried out as a jumper at Napier Park last week, when he knuckled over and so badly injured himself that it was found necessary to destroy him. Earlier in his career he was owned by Mr. F. * Kettlewell and trained at Trentham by D. McCauley.
