TO GREEK WATERS
BRITISH WARSHIPS FROM
ALEXANDRIA
(Received July 6, 9.50 a.m.)
ALEXANDRIA, July 5.
Several British warships have gone to Greek waters. They will return before August.
It is pointed out that this relieves the congestion in the bottle-necked harbour at Alexandria, which is flanked with petrol tanks, and which might be dangerous in wartime.
It is understood that troops and antiaircraft guns have been dispatched to the Libyan border.
