RUGBY, July 5. The Caerphilly by-election resulted as follows: —
Mr. Edwards (Labour) Mr. Bell (Conservative) No change.
19,847 9,349
Sixty-seven per cent, of the electorate voted.
At the 1935 General Election the Labour candidate. Mr; Morgan Jones, polled 24.846 votes and Mrs. G. T. Stoneham (Conservative) 7738.
