WORK ON FARMS
SCHEME APPROVED

MASTERTON, This Day
A conference of local bodies and representatives of the Farmers' Union,
farming interests, workers, and Government Departments was held in Mastertoh yesterday and approved a scheme outlined by Mr. W. G. Simpson, liaison officer of the Department of Labour, for placing unemployed men on productive work on farms under scheme 4b. Messrs. T. Jordan, A. B. Martin, H. Bennett, J. L. Heckler, C. T. Richardson, and R. N. Shaw were appointed a committee to work in conjunction with the local Placement Officer in furtherance of .the scheme.
