EGGS FOR ITALIANS
♦ Admiral Somiglio and officers from the Italian cruisers Savoia and Duca d'Aosta which were recently lying off Balboa, were pelted with rotten eggs as they passed through Panama City by car. They were returning from an official visit to Mr. Arosemena, the President of Panama, when the incident occurred. One person who threw eggs was arrested. Posters in Spanish and Italian bearing the words. "Down with Mussolini; Long Live Roosevelt!" were plastered nil over Panama.
