THE AEOLIANS.
Tomorrow evening The Aeolians will present their fifth choral recital in the Concert Chamber of the Town Hall. A wide variety of choral numbers will include "It Was a Lover and His Lass," Paul Ambrose, "Turmut-hoeing," an Oxfordshire folk song arranged byHenry G. Ley, "Cargoes," Masefield's well-known lyrics set to music by H. Balfour Gardiner, "O Who Will Ocr the Downs?", de Pearsall, and a group of two Hungarian folk songs composed by Ladislas Kun. The choir, which is' largely composed of young voices, performs for charities, and on this occasion the proceeds will be devoted to the Wellington Social Club for the Blind. The assistance has been obtained of such talented assisting artists as Mrs. Eunice T. Easte (operatic soprano), Mr. Martin Liddle (baritone), and Mr. Graham Ayson (violinist). The choir will be under the direction of Mr. Maxwell Fernie and the accomnanist will be Mr. John Randal, L.R.S.M. The box plan is at the D.I.C.
E. Johnston and Co., auctioneers, will sell household furnishings at their mart, 3 Willeston Street, tomorrow, at 1.15 p.m.
