BOXING TOMORROW.
Wellington boxing patrons will be treated to a fast and exciting exhibition of boxing in the Town Hall tomorrow night, when two of the leading professional welterweights in the Dominion, Barney Down, of Wellington, and Don. Johnston, of Auckland, will meet in a twelve-round encounter. Johnston created an excellent impression locally when he beat Vie. Caltaux in the first bout of the local season, and Down has built up a useful record in his several years' professional fighting in the Dominion. Both are fast, hard-hitting men in top form at the moment, and it would be difficult to pick the winner. Down may be the aggressor but the Auckland boy likes matters willing also and prospects, therefore, are for something out of the; ordinary. Interesting amateur bouts have been arranged and some of Wellington's best boys will be in action. Particulars are advertised.
