RETURNED SOLDIERS
PORIRUA SUB-BRANCH
The annual meting of the Porirua. sub-branch of the R.S.A. was held in the Oddfellows' Hall recently, a large number of members attending. The balance-sheet showed the finances to be in a healthy state.
The election of officers resulted as follows:—Patron, Mr. L. G. Lowry, M.P.; president, Mr. J. Barclay; vicepresident, Mr. W. Mexted; hon. secretary, Mr. G. W. Hughes; assistant secretary, Mr. G. Colley; treasurer, Mr. E. Hook; Wellington delegate, Mr. E. Doddington; hon. auditor, Mr. H. Campbell; committee, Messrs. W. Schack, E. Butler, E. Johnston, G. Harper, H. Edward, W. Skinner, A. Gibb, W. Ireland, E. Lynch; representatives for outlying districts, Messrs. Cochrane and Ross (Plimmerton), Lindsay (Pukerua Bay), Leadley (Tawa Flat), Carrie (Paremata); honorary vice-presidents, Messrs. R. Bothamley, F. Goldsmith, A. Treyor, A. Hook, J. F. B. Stevenson.
