Officers were 'elected at the annual meeting" of the Shetland Society as follows:—Patron, • Mr.. W. Harper; president, Captain X Inkster; vice-presi-dent, Mr. D. Moar; hbn.- secretary,- Mr. F. J. Sinclair; hori. treasurer, Mr; J. L. Arcus; hon. auditors, Messrs. J,. A» Arcus and F. Robertson; literary and research, Mr. J. Laufenson; M.C., Mr. W Anderson; management committee, Mesdames M. Inkster, W. Anderson, and J. Moncrieff, Messrs. F. Robertson, J. Mouat, and J. Moncrieff. Mr. J. G. Harper referred to the great interest and work done for the society by Mrs. Lumsden, and it was unanimously decided that Mrs. Lumsden be elected a life member.
