EVERY PORT AT ELLERSLIE
When she first made her appearance at Ellerslie, the Stonyhurst-bred filly Every Port was very backward in condition, but during the last few weeks she has made considerable improvement. Formerly trained by H. and A. Cutts at Riccarton, she has only started once, when she ran unplaced as a two-year-old in the Trial Stakes at Ashburton last season. She has plenty to recommend her on breeding, being by Winning Hit from Sailor's Love, who is a full-sister to the notable mare Fast Passage, winner of the Winter Cup, New Zealand Cup, and Auckland Cup.
