ESPERANTO
The weekly meeting of "La Esperantista Kultura Rondo de Miramar" was held on Wednesday night. The president, Mr. James E. Wells, thanked the donor of several Esperanto magazines from countries on the Continent. Mr. A. R. F. Butler was appointed chairman for the evening. As usual, all the events took place in Esperanto. Readings from Continental literature opened the proceedings, followed by explanatory points of grammar, pronunciation, and style. Several entertaining games of an instructive nature were played, after which brief speeches were made on topics of general est. The weekly vocabulary test revealed that members were making steady progress. The president briefly summarised the operation of "La Rondo'" to date, stating that he was well satisfied with the progress made and that the new organisation was certainly working on right lines.
