, The first week's activity for 170 pupils of the Education Department's correspondence school attending a vacation course in New Plymouth has included a range of subjects which covers every phase of social and practical education.

A sports meeting will be held and a concert presented by pupils. Particular attention is being paid to health, New Plymouth dentists having given their services, and a complete medical examination is being made.
