LONDON LAMB MARKET

BEEF PRICES FIRM

There is a better feeling in the frozen lamb market in London according to the weekly cable received by the New Zealand Meat Producers' Board, and prices, where changed, have advanced slightly. Consumption con- ' tinues to be good. Prices for wethers are generally easier owing to lack of demand. The demand for ewes is steady, but trade is quiet. For frozen beef there is a better inquiry, owing to the higher prices for chilled. Chilled beef is firmer, on the good trade and lighter supplies.
