LONDON, March 20, Cameras and flashlights at Waterloo Station greeted thirty-six New Zealanders who arrived by the Tainui to join the Royal Air Force. Reporters were there to talk with them, too. "Sunburnt giants" waa the enthusiastic, description given them by one air correspondent, who singled out for attention 0. W. gteele (Auckland), who is 6ft 3| inches, and Mr, H, Keller (Dunedin), who is 6ft 6in,
As the Tainui was three days late the New Zealanders had only a brief stay in London, They were met by Squaclron Leader S. Wailingford, the New Zealand Air Force Liaison Officer at the Air Ministry, and Mr, R, XKeating, of the New Zealand House staff, who accompanied them to the High Commissioner's offices, There they received their instructions and collected mail before leaving almost Immediately for their depots,
Eighteen men who- served a year as cadets, in the New Zealand Air Foree have been sent to Uxbridge before being posted to Service Squadrons, The eighteen men on training probation have been sent to R.A.F. flying schools at Perth and Yatesbury, Wiltshire.
