"PROTECTOR OF ISLAM"
DUCE DENOUNCED
MOSLEMS' LOYALTY TO
FRANCE
(Received April 21, 1 p.m.)
LONDON, April 20,
The Algiers correspondent of "The Times" says that Moslem chiefs and religious authorities from Algeria, Tunisia, and Morocco passed a resolution of friendship and loyalty to France and protesting against the violation of Albania, which is described as "the victim of the despotic ambition of one who dares theatrically to describe himself as the Protector of Islam."
In view of its influence on Moslem opinion in North Africa the resolution is most important.
