It is understood that the Cabinet has approved the establishment of an authority for the control and supply of munitions and materials for the War Office. The Prime Minister is expected to make a statement, possibly on April 20. The Government has requested local authorities throughout the country to give priority to civil de- [ fence measures during the next three I months. The Food Defence Department is increasing its flour reserves by arranging additional storage accommodation for all bakers
