A DIFFERENT OPINION

(By Telegjraph.) {Special to the 'EJvenino Post.")

DUNEB3IN, This Day.

At the Oddfellows'ib annual meeting the following resolution was carried unanimously:—"That <this meeting of delegates,' representing 5156 members of the United Otago i District, A.0.F., again points out to jthe Government that in our opinion the Social Security Act, as far as it concerns friendly societies, is a serious undermining of the stability of hese s<6cieties, and that the medical services 'as outlined in the Act could, and shoudd be administered by the friendly societies of the Dominion. By so doing the Government could to a certain extent honour che promises made by responsible ministers and safeguard, the usefulness of the friendly societies."
