REPORTS DENIED

BRITISH NAVAL LANDING AT

CORFU

(Received April 10, 11 a.m.)

LONDON, April 9. A meeting of the^Cabinet has been called for tomorrow morning.

The Admiralty denies reports from Berlin and Rome that British naval units landed at Corfu, near the Albanian coast.

Officials in Athens also deny rumours that strong British and French naval squadrons have arrived in Greek waters. It is explained that three British warships which were seen 35 miles north of Corfu possibly belong to a squadron on a spring cruise.
