Today's gallops at Randwick included Defaulter's fine seven-furlong trial in company with Kaitere in lmin 32sec. Defaulter covered the first five furlongs in lmin 4|sec. He easily showed his class and speed, and completely dominated the position. High Caste was given a test gallop with Reading over five furlongs, and was going better at the finish than his partner. .
