TALK OF FORTIFICATIONS
GIBRALTAR, March 29,
Nationalist troops and artillery from the interior are garrisoning districts surrounding Gibraltar.
It is understood that the nationalists intend to fortify Sierra Carbonera, opposite The Rock. These districts have hitherto been almost unfortified or weakly garrisoned by ,the nationalists since the removal of the howitzers to the mainland.
