SECURITY OBLIGATIONS
(To the Editor.)
Sir, —I received at my home the pamphlet addressed to the householder regarding the "obligations" of assured persons under the Social Security Act, which is to come into force on April 1. As I will be expected to commence paying my weekly premiums under this scheme next week I would be pleased if the Department concerned would answer the following question: "If a person pays his premiums each week and unfortunately becomes ill before the medical section of the scheme is arranged by the Government, will the Government refund to the contributor to the scheme any medical expenses which he incurs?" If this is not to be the case should not the scheme be postponed until such time as the Government can carry out "their obligations" as set out in the Act. — I am, etc.,
"OBLIGATIONS ON BOTH SIDES."
