DELAYED BY STORM
SHIPS BOUND TO DUNEDIN
(By Telegraph—Press Association.)
DUNEDIN, This Day,
At least two ships southward bound from Lyttelton were delayed today by a heavy southerly gale which was encountered off the coast. They were the Union Steam Ship Company's intercolonial freighter Waitaki, due today to complete loading for Sydney and Melbourne, and the new motor tanker Belinda, bringing motor spirit for the Texas Oil Company from Bahrein Island. The Waitaki arrived late tonight and will sail tomorrow for Australia, but the Belinda did not reach the heads until it was too late to bring her up the channel. She will now berth tomorrow morning to complete discharge.
