WEDDING

COSTXEY—LE COMTE

Easter lilies and hydrangeas decorated the Wesley Church, Taranaki Street, recently, for the marriage of Enid May, eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. A. J. Le Comte, Wellington, to David Norman, younger son of Mr. and Mrs. J. Costley, alsa of Wellington. The Rev. P. Paris officiated, and Mr. H. Temple White was at the organ.

The bride, who entered the church with her father, wore a gown of white Victorian satin cut on slim-fitting lines and with white chrysanthemums forming an unusual collar. Her veil of Chantilly lace, enveloped her high head-dress and fell lightly on to her train. She carried a sheaf of lilies and maidenhair fern.

There were two bridesmaids, Miss Phyllis Le Comte (in lavender) and Miss Dulcie Stairmand (in cyclamen), and Allison Le Comte (who wore a blue frock) was flower girl. Their frocks of stiffened net over taffeta were circled with bands of narrow ribbon of the same shade. They wore haloes of variegated sequins, and carried posies to tone.

Mr. G. L. Smith was the best man, and, Mr. H. R. Halford was groomsman.

The reception was held at the Tea Kiosk, Kelburn, where Mr. and Mrs. Le Comte received the guests, Mrs. Le Comte wearing a gown of blue tinsel brocade with a spray of anemones.
