Auckland acceptances are due tomorrow evening, Feilding and Wairarapa on Monday, and C.J.C. on Tuesday. The final day of the Hawke's Bay Meeting will be held on Saturday, and acceptances are due this evening. Two previous winners, Arctic King and Queen of Song, figure on the same mark, 8.11, in this year's Great Autumn Handicap. . T , The value of the Chipping Norton Plate, 14 miles, which Defaulter will contest at Warwick Farm on Saturday, is £650, with the winner's portion Horses from T. R. George's stable will be racing at Ellerslie, Riccarton, Feilding and Tauherenikau over Easter, with the bulk of them at Tauherenikau. . . \ Manteau. who figures in juvenile events at the Feilding Meeting, is the Pink Coat—Honeste colt, from the Star Stranger family, whom Mr. J. Duncan, of Taihape, bought for 300 guineas at last year's sales. Mr. Duncan is a son of the well-known owner, Mr. T. A. Duncan. Although Red Sun was entered for the Brighton Hurdles at Ellerslie, he is stated to be unlikely to make the trip and will probably be reserved for the Stratford and Waverley Meetings. Mr. I*. Armstrong's steeplechaser Power Chief, who has been at Akitio, has' rejoined the active brigade at Awapuni, and he is to be prepared for winter racing. He is fairly forward. Mr. Armstrong has also sent m a two-year-old filly by Phaleron Bay from Cherry Pie. Mr R D Westenra has returned to his Riccarton quarters with his two. horses. Wardress had to be rested after racing at Trentham in January but she is in excellent health agam and it is intended to race her at the South Canterbury Meeting at the end of next month. Lady Graceful is doing road exercise at present, but is fairly forward and should be ready to race about May. ■. ■
