MANAWATU MEETING
A wide and varied programme has been arranged for the Manawatu Trotting Club's Annual Meeting on April 15 and 19, and coming as it does at the completiion of the West Coast (NI) trotting circuit the club should be assured of a lengthy list of entries. The chief event on the two-day programme is the Manawatu Trottuig Cup which is endowed with £300 ana is run over two miles, the class being 440 This limit has been fixed in view of the fact that several horses will have qualified from looser marks in previous starts on the circuit. Generally, the stakes are well up to standard, and it will be surprising if the meeting is not an unqualified success. Entries for the two days will close i with the secretary, Mr. A. Manson, Palmerston North, at 8 p.m. on Mon-! day next. j
