WORSER BAY CLUB
Saturday's race held by the Worser Bay Boating Club was for the Kean Cup, and was sailed in a moderate southerly. The race was full of incident, and it resulted in" a win for Aloha from Viking and Vulcan.;
Viking's performance was a good one, and credit is due to Eric Wells.ford for the way he handled her in his skipper's absence
One of the high lights ,of the race was Kathleen's exhibition of evolutions during a melee on Paul's Point buoy during the second lap. From it she withdrew with a broken goose- r neck. On the same buoy Antoinettecame to grief in the next lap, fouling, the buoy in'spectacular manner.
"Bosun" Moore was also in trouble on the lead between Arkley's and the wharf buoy, and his exhibition of trick mast climbing was thoroughly enjoyed by the onlookers. Results and times are as follows: — Aloha (C. Gestro), 3min, 4h 48m 4s 1 Viking (E. Wellsford), smin, 4h 48m 24s • •••-•■ 2 Vulcan (J. Ayres), 2Jmin, 4h 49m 11s 3 Electra (R. Huntingdon), 4; Bonny Jean (L. Cooke), 5; Elvine .(R. Swanson), 6; Courier (L. Moore), 7. Antoinette (H. Robinson) fouled a buoy, and Kathleen (F. Mumford) retired. Fastest time went to Aloha.
