SYDNEY CATHEDRAL
REPRISAL FOR OUTRAGES IN ENGLAND
ANONYMOUS LETTER
! (By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright.) [ (Received February 10, 2 p.m.) | SYDNEY, This Day. j A police guard has been placed at! St. Mary's Cathedral following a threat to bomb it. The threat was made to Archbishop Kelly in an anonymous letter, which stated that the bombing was to be a reprisal for the bomb outrages in England. The writer declared that his intended action was directed against the Irish people. Although the police are inclined to believe that the letter was sent by an irresponsible person, they have adopted very extensive precautions. All wireless patrols and police cars have been ordered to keep the cathedral under surveillance.
