TROUBLE FEARED
UNREST IN MANDALAY

RANGOON, February 8.
Reinforced troops and police are standing by in Mandalay, where trouble is feared in connection with the strikes.
A meeting of elders who are supporting student hunger strikers advocated a hunger strike throughout the country, to be enforced by the priests, unless the Government surrenders to the strikers' demands.
