PLAYGROUND FUND

EMPLOYEES CONGRATULATED

FOXTON, December 21.

At a social gathering of New Zealand Woolpack and Textiles employees today, the managing director, Mr. F. W. Vickerman, conveyed the congratulations of the Minister of Industries and Commerce (the Hon. D. G. Sullivan) on their fine effort in raising funds for the provision of a playground for children of Foxton. Mr. Vickerman also said that the directors had every confidence for the expansion of the works during the coming year.

Visitors present included Mr. J. T. Gailey, Belfast, and Mr. Melville Wright, of the High Commissioner's Office, London. Mr. Wright congratulated the employees on the product now being turned out and the progress maintained, expressing the opinion that the success of the enterprise was assured.
