BROCKIE—MILLS,

The wedding was solemnised recently at St. Michael's Church, Rotorua, of Betty Eticene Violet Mills, second

daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Johanson, and William Edward, youngest son of Mr. and Mrs. J. M. Brockie, Wellington. The Rev. Father Wanders performed the ceremony, and Miss May Beresford, Auckland, presided at the organ, and was accompanied by Miss Aileen Beresford, who played the violin.

The bride, who was escorted by her father, wore a charming gown of white satin made on close-fitting lines with long sleeves and a halter neckline. A train fell from the shoulders, and was lined with shell pink and trimmed with orange blossom. Her tiara-shaped headdress of orange blossom held her long tulle, veil in place. Her sheaf bouquet was of arum lilies.

Miss Joy Reid, Auckland, was chief bridesmaid and wore a frock of delphinium blue taffeta cut on classical lines. Also in attendance was Miss Patricia Johahson, sister of. the bride, who wore a frock of shell pink figured taffeta. Both wore Juliet caps in matching tones,' one carrying a, bouquet of irises and the other one of hyacinths. The little flowergirl, Mary Nobil, looked very pretty in her dainty gown of buttercup figured taffeta cut on Victorian lines, which she wore with a matching Juliet cap. She carried a heart-shaped cushion bearing the wed-

ding ring. Master Alan Clark . was train bearer, and was dressed in cream satin edged with buttercup satin.

Mr, Alex Grey was best man and Mr. Basil Mills was groomsman.

After the ceremony a reception was held at the Druids' Hall, where Mrs. Johanson. received, the guests;, wearing a frock of navy blue embossed crepe de chine, trimmed with floral silk, and navy accessories. Mrs. Noel Rodgers, Wellington, sister of the bridegroom, wore a fur coat over'a frock of cream satin, with a hat to tone.

The bride travelled in a navy and white frock with a grey coat, hat, and accessories. Mr. and Mrs. W. Brockie will make -their future home in Wellington. '
