WANGANUI WIN

COLLEGE CRICKET

A good knock of 42 by A. Renshaw was instrumental in allowing Wanganui Collegiate School to beat Wellington College in the annual cricket match concluded at the Wellington College grounds today. Wanganui began their second innings again this morning requiring 77 runs to win with the score at one wicket down for 12 runs. Scoring as in the previous innings was low, and with the exception of Renshaw the batsmen gave a poor account of themselves. Although he gave two chances early in his innings, Renshaw was cautious, and by careful play gave his side the necessary runs for victory. The Wellington bowlers again made a good showing, and, supported with strong fielding, allowed the batsmen little chance of free hitting. Shortly after midday Alexander hit a single which gave a win to Wanganui,' four wickets still being in hand.: Details: — WELLINGTON COLLEGE.
