PIGS, POULTRY, AND PRODUCE.

The Dominion Auctioneering Co., Ltd., Palmerston North, reports considerably improved prices for all classes of pigs at their weekly sale on Thursday. Good lightweight porkers realised up to 41s each, stores to 37s 6d each, and weaners to 21s 6d each. The price of poultry is still remaining firm with a keen demand. There was quite a decided improvement, in prices, of both fruit and vegetables. Quotations:—

Pigs.—Weaners. from 20s to 21s 6d: slips, 21s 6d to 255: stores, 30s to 37$ 6d; porkers, to 41s each.

Poultry.—Heavy 8.0. hens, from 8s 6d to 9s per pair; best W.L. hens, from 7s to 8s 2d per pair; light hens, from 6s to 6s 8d per pair; ducks, 7s to 8s per pair; cockerels, 5s to 7s per pair; young cockerels, 3d to 9d each; hens and chicks, to 17s 6d.
