GREYMOUTH AND WESTPORT

The possibility of a new market for West Coast coal is indicated by the arrival at Greymouth this afternoon of the French collier Cap Tarifa direct from Noumea, New Caledonia.

The vessel will load 1300 tons of Paparoa coal, -vhich will be given a trial in the French nickel-smelting works in New Caledonia. She will complete loading in Westport coal from that district also being included in the experiments at the works.
