FALSE PRETENCES
SALE OF RADIO SET
Charged with obtaining £3 by falsely representing that a five-valve radio set was his own, lan Telkie, alias Telke, a hotel porter, aged 25, appeared before Mr. J. L. Stout, S.M., in the •Magistrate's Court today. He pleaded guilty. Detective-Sergeant W. R. Murray said that the defendant purchased a radio set at Wanganui for £13 under a hirepurchase agreement. He paid £2 10s for it and later sold the set in Wellington for £3. He was convicted and. ordered to come up for sentence if called upon within six months, a condition being that the £3 should be refunded. ;
