"MISSED MORE THAN GAINED"
(To the Editor.)
Sir,—Mr. Savage and members of his Socialist Government are very fond of telling the people how well off they are under his rule. As I, and thousands of others, see it, we have missed far more than we have gained. Briefly enumerated the benefits we would now be enjoying under a rational Government are: 1. All wages and pensions restored to the 1928 level. 2. No increase in the cost of living, which eats up any additional wage increases we have secured. 3. Partial or total, abolition of the wage tax. 4. Reduction or abolition of the 5s quarterly levy. 5. All workers absorbed into industry and providing goods and revenue for the country. 6. Liberty to think, work, and live as we like, as long as we are not encroaching on the rights of others. Realising that with the return of the National Party, we New Zealand-born workers will reap the real harvest of .prosperity, I look forward to October 15 as a red-letter day in New Zealand's virile'history.-—I am, etc.,
