J. H. Jefferd at present has eleven horses in work at Ngatarawa, seven of them two-year-olds. The older horses are Patter, Lady Chat, Elettra, and Rakahanga. The juveniles are Areas (Hunting Song—Calisto), Baran (Bulandshar —Clemency), Indian Sun (Bulandshar —Sunbar), Regale (Myosotis—Lucinda), Serenata . (Night-march-—Praise), Charing Cross (Lord Quex —Charlady), and an Iliad— Wealth colt. Serenata (a full-sister to Russian Ballet) and Charing Cross are fillies.
