SERGEANTS ENTERTAIN

It seems that yet another dance is to be added to the already long list of such events which take place in this city annually. Last night an innovation in the way of dances was held at Margaret O'Connor's studio, when members of the Sergeant's Mess of the 15th (Coast) Battery, New Zealand Artillery, entertained a number of their friends.

During the evening Miss Audrey Allardice gave two exhibition tap dances, and Mr. Davenport and Miss Mavis Pearce demonstrated modern ballroom dancing. Ex-Sergeant-Major B. Steel made a very efficient master of ceremonies.

Supper and refreshments were served in a downstairs room. Members of the Sergeant's Mess on duty were Battery Sergeant-Ma jor W. A. Morgan, Sergeant Steele, Sergeant Doylan, Lance-Sergeant J. D.
