NELSON COLLEGE REUNION
The dance at the Mayfair was a very happy reunion for/the past pupils of Nelson College and Nelson Girls' College. There were about ,250 present, and the cabaret presented a very gay scene. Masses qf-flowers and greenery were grouped on the;-parti-tion dividing the dance rooms, and the associations' colours, dark and 'light blue, were displayed everywhere^. Streamers were looped around the walls, which were also bedecked with "cut outs" of the crests of thcTcdlleges and the name "Nelson," and streamers were crossed on the little tables. The official host and hostess ,;';;were Lieut.-Colonel arid Mrs. A; Govvles, the former being the. president of the old boys' association. Mrs^ ..Cp^les', who was presented:with a bouquet of pink flowers, was wearing, a smart figured frock under an elbow-length fur cape, and Mrs. J. W. Petherick, who deputised for Mrs. H. Chisholm. presi. dent of the old: girls': association, Was dressed' hi in t sapphire y -blue cloque with a corsage spray of velvet flowers. Mrs. Petherick was accompanied by her husband. ...
