OLD GIRLS' CARD PARTY

Members and friends of the Wanganui Girls' College Old Girls' Association held a very cheery and successful evening this week in the English-speak-ing Union's rooms, which were bright with spring bulbs and crimson rhododendrons. The guests were received by Mrs. Ashburn Chisholm, president, and Mrs. D. A. Claridge, secretary.

A very pleasant time was spent in playing bridge, mah jong, and monopoly. Trophies were won by Mesdames T. M. Pacy, H. M. Blakeley, and Messrs. H. W. Whyte, and E. W. Mills.

Among those who arranged tables were Mesdames Gibbons, Perry, Grainger, Littlejohn, Hardie-Boyes, Sapsford, Thomson, Jones, Bennett, Staveley, Hewitt, Claridge, Taylor, Misses Barton, Grainger, Nicholas* Bligh, Honeyfield, and Chatfield. At the conclusion of the play a delicious supper Was served.
